This rub is perfect to add flavor and surface to flat iron steaks, brisket, tri-tip roast, skirt steak, flank steak, and our favorite “Picanha” steak.
It is a great vegan seasoning, you have to try it with your veggie burgers, tacos’ plant-based filling, etc.
A rub is the best way to make a flavorful crust on smoked meats (brisket or pork). It is coarser than a regular seasoning and it is applied much more liberally.
For best results, brush the steak with olive or chia seed oil before adding the rub, spread the rub on a clean plate and place the steak on the plate, coat both sides with the rub by gently pressing the steak on the seasoning plate. Next, grill, broil or pan sear the steak to your family’s desired doneness.
ProTip: Massage the steak with generous amount of rub, wrap it up, store in fridge for at least 24 hours for a more aged taste.
